The BSHS with a major in Clinical Management and Leadership is a degree completion program that requires successful completion of 120 credit hours. Students may transfer in up to 60 credits to satisfy general education and advanced standing requirements. Non-traditoinal credit sources may be considered on a case-by-case basis (i.e. military coursework, credit-by-exam, and non-college based health programs). Students must complete at least 60 credit hours of George Washington University coursework to meet the academic residency requirements for the program.
An additional option is our degree program that offers qualified individuals a seamless and accelerated pathway for completing the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and the Master of Science in Health Sciences. An adviser can give you information about this option.
The coursework is designed to address the managerial needs of the leaders responsible for running clinical departments and private medical practices. Classes include human resources management, health care accounting and finance, marketing health services, health care quality and ethics.
Opportunities in the health care field for clinical management and leadership students are unlimited. Our graduates advance their careers by working in management, education and clinical care or by pursuing graduate degrees in health care leadership and management.
