Our interior architecture degree with embedded honours offers the highest undergraduate Australian qualification for the interior architecture and design industry. The robust course structure also facilitates students to diversify their own learning from a selection of electives and minors.
Striking a balance between creativity and practicality, this hands-on degree explores human experience as central to interior architecture through consideration of design psychology, functionality, the quality of the interior environment through lighting, ventilation and acoustics, the integration of furniture, in association with planning, spatial design, design development, construction documentation and contract administration.
This course provides you with a solid foundation in the theoretical aspects of design, combined with a technical knowledge of interior construction, equipment and building systems, and the opportunity to experiment with your own ideas in design studios. Through several learning studios, you will develop knowledge of professional practice and communication, including computer, drawing and scientific skills.
