Empowerment through Education -The goal of SDEF is to assist extraordinarily gifted but financially struggling students who are unable to complete their college studies owing to their financial barriers.
Scholarships are available to High School students who have achieved academic excellence while overcoming hardship or other difficult circumstances.
The scholars will receive a scholarship of up to $5,000 annually. The students need to maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA to be eligible for scholarship renewal. The scholarship may be used to pay tuition, room and board, fees, and other educational expenses.

Copy of Parent’s latest Federal Tax Returns, W-2/1099.
High School Transcript
Complete the FAFSA application and submit SAR (Student Aid Report).
Two references, recommendation letters
Driver’s License or State ID
Comply with all terms on the Student Agreement of the Scholarship Application.
